KING DIAMOND Unveils Long-Awaited Music Video for “Masquerade Of Madness” Single
KING DIAMOND, the famous metal outfit famed for its dramatic and darkly fascinating shows, has finally unveiled the much-anticipated music video for their 2019 song “Masquerade Of Madness”. This release is a Halloween surprise for their devoted fans.

King Diamond spoke on the debut of the video for “Masquerade Of Madness,” stating that it was first made accessible online in 2019. Immediately before their North American tour. A full day was spent to filming the video with David Brodsky and Allison Woest. The filming took place during the tour’s stage performance choreography. Effectively capturing the vivid energy and mood of that specific day. The eventual product of the video definitely reflects this.
In the middle of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the film seemed to have vanished. However, as life returned to normal and the band began to create new songs. King Diamond learned that the video had yet to be published. To breathe new life into the project, they enlisted the help of director David Brodsky in locating the video.

The single will be released on 12″ vinyl along with the video. The vinyl edition of “Masquerade Of Madness” will be available in four different color variants worldwide and will include a collectible paper mask. This is the first time that the tracks “Masquerade Of Madness”, “Welcome Home (Live at Graspop)” and “Arrival (Live at Graspop)” will be available on vinyl. It is a must-have for collectors and fans.
In an interesting revelation about the creative process, it was revealed that guitarist Andy La Rocque initially created the music for “Masquerade Of Madness”. Later, he worked together with King Diamond to refine the composition. La Rocque mentioned that King made some small changes to suit his vocals and also wrote the lyrics. They exchanged ideas until King was satisfied with the final result.
